Adam Davis

Mr. Davis is entering his 9th year as Director of Bands at Scoggins Middle School, and his 19th year in music education. Prior to coming to Frisco ISD Mr. Davis served the outstanding communities of Prosper, Forney and Belton.
Bands under Mr. Davis direction have consistently received UIL “Sweepstakes” awards and have been named “Best in Class and “Most Outstanding Band” at various North Texas music festivals. Most recently the Scoggins Wind Ensemble was named a National Winner in the Mark of Excellence in 2023.
Mr. Davis is an alum of the University of North Texas College of Music and has professional affiliations with Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Texas Music Adjudicators Association.
Mr. Davis resides in Frisco with his wife Laura Davis, Counselor at Nelson Middle School, and his sons Brayden and Oliver.
Mr. Davis teaches Wind Ensemble, Concert Band and Intermediate Brass. Part of Mr. Davis's day is spent at Wortham Intermediate assisting in beginner classes.

Ms. Hoffman is excited to enter her second year of teaching as Assistant Band Director at Scoggins Middle School. Most recently, Ms. Hoffman completed her student teaching in Coppell ISD with Ms. Kim Shuttlesworth at Coppell HS and Mr. Steve McGrew at Coppell MS East. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors from Texas Tech University, receiving her Bachelors degrees in Music Education and Clarinet Performance. During her time at Texas Tech, Ms. Hoffman studied clarinet under Dr. David Shea and performed with the Texas Tech Symphonic Wind Ensemble, University Symphony Orchestra, and Symphonic Band, touring with the ensemble for their performance at the CBDNA conference in 2020. She also had the opportunity to perform with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, Lubbock Chamber Orchestra, and was an inaugural chamber musician of the Music in the Marche Program in Mondavio, Italy.

Kristin Wilson

Mrs. Wilson will be beginning her 15th year in music education. Prior to teaching beginning band at Wortham Intermediate, Mrs. Wilson taught band at Stafford Middle School, taught private low brass lessons, began and oversaw a band program at a private school in Dallas, and taught preschool music.
During her professional career, as an assistant band director Mrs. Wilson helped grow the Stafford Band to over 300 students, as well as helped the top band finish 2nd place in the State Honor Band competition. Her private lesson students have had continued success making all region and area bands, as well as receiving scholarships to continue to play their instruments in college.
Mrs. Wilson graduated Cum Laude from West Texas A&M in 2010. Her professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Tau Beta Sigma. While at WTAMU, Mrs. Wilson had the privilege of performing with the Wind Ensemble, including performances at TMEA and CBDNA. She was the Drum Major of the marching band.
Mrs. Wilson lives in Plano with her husband Ben, who works for a Mergers and Acquisitions Firm, and her three elementary aged children Ian, Emmy, and Isla. She enjoys hiking, camping, and being outdoors as much as possible.
Mrs. Wilson teaches beginning Flute, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba and Euphonium classes and feels so grateful to be part of the Emerson/Scoggins/Wortham team!

Ashley Pedersen

Ashley Pedersen's percussion career began at Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park, Illinois. She continued her studies in music education at Coastal Carolina University, South Carolina and Jacksonville State University, Alabama.
Ms. Pedersen has a wide variety of DCI and WGI experience. She played quads at Music City Drum Corps (2011-2012), front ensemble at Carolina Crown (2013-2015) and front ensemble with Music City Mystique (2015).
As an educator, Ms. Pedersen has been working as a lesson teacher, front ensemble tech, and drumline tech in Frisco ISD since 2021. In 2023 Ms. Pedersen began working in the Emerson Cluster as the Assistant Percussion Director.
Before Ms. Pedersen relocated to Texas she worked as a consultant and technician in percussion for many schools and WGI groups in the mid south. Before she lived in the mid south she lived in Illinois and worked as an Adjunct Professor teaching Piano and Percussion at Moraine Valley Community College, She is also trained in the Suzuki Method (piano) and worked in early childhood music.
In her free time Ms. Pedersen enjoys traveling, making pottery and spending time outside. Ms. Pedersen is very excited to be a part of the Scoggins team!
